Strategy and delivery from one person

Most AI consultants hand you a roadmap. I build what's on it.

25 years of product leadership, two acquisitions, and platforms powering Apple, Red Bull, Disney, BBC and ESPN. I define the strategy and the roadmap, then build the systems that deliver them. Same person, start to finish.

Most organizations are stuck between AI curiosity and AI capability.

There is no shortage of strategy. There are decks, workshops, pilots and a backlog of ideas. What is missing is the part where something actually gets built, adopted, and used every day.

That gap is rarely about ambition. It is about finding someone senior enough to choose the right problems and technical enough to build the answer, without a six-month agency engagement in between.

About

The Founder's Story: 25 Years Bridging Strategy and Execution

I'm Tim Strobl. For over two decades I've worked at the point where business strategy meets technical execution: defining what to build, why it matters, and then making sure it actually ships.

That career took me through two acquisitions, Wirewax to Vimeo and BridgeU to Kaplan, and through global platforms delivering for Apple, Red Bull, Disney, BBC and ESPN. At Lab Services of America I built the software and operations for a Covid-19 testing business from nothing, scaling from zero to hundreds of staff across hundreds of school sites during a public health emergency.

What changed recently is what one person can do. I've gone deep into AI-native development, building production systems myself rather than specifying them for someone else. PaxRent, my property management platform, reached production in seven weeks with a live customer collecting rent, and has been running and growing continuously since. It handles double-entry trust accounting, 50-state compliance, payments, leasing, maintenance and reporting, with an approval-gated AI agent at its core, hardened through months of real operational use. I designed it, architected it, built it and onboarded the first client.

"Twenty-five years of knowing what good architecture looks like is precisely why I can move this fast. The tools compress the typing, not the judgment."

I also built it to compound. Usage data, behavioral signals and direct feedback feed a continuous loop in which the system surfaces its own improvement opportunities. Combined with periodic full code audits and each new generation of AI models, the platform gets measurably better the more it is used. Most software depreciates from the day it ships. This gets sharper.

The other thing I bring is judgment about process. I'm rigorous about workflow, automation and governance, and equally rigorous about not adding any you don't need. I've run programme governance across 49 countries and I've built a production platform as a team of one. Those need completely different amounts of structure, and most of the damage I see comes from applying the wrong one. Enough process to hold under pressure, never more than that.

That combination is what I bring to an engagement. Executive-level product judgment, and the ability to build the thing rather than write a document about it. It means shorter feedback loops, working prototypes instead of slide decks, and honest answers about what AI can and cannot do for your business right now.

Beyond consulting, I actively invest in ventures where I can provide strategic value. That dual role as advisor and investor means I approach every engagement with an owner's mindset, focused on sustainable value rather than deliverables.

I work across regulated and compliance-heavy environments (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, ISO 27001) and I've built and coached teams across 49 countries. Austrian, based in the US, equally at home in English or German.

What I do

Four ways in, all ending in something that works.

Product & Executive Partnership

Fractional CPO and strategic product leadership for scaling organizations. Roadmaps, prioritization, and the operating rhythm to deliver against them. Enough process to hold under pressure, never more than the situation needs.

Build and Ship

Production systems built fast using AI-native development. Working software instead of specifications, from prototype through to live deployment.

Advisory & Board Representation

Governance, risk and scaling insight for high-stakes ventures, from someone who has been through acquisitions on both sides.

Also available for smaller engagements: high-impact web builds, and digital growth and SEO work.

How I work

The WWHW Framework

A proven methodology for turning strategic vision into operational reality.

THE WHY (Strategy & ROI)

Identifying high-impact opportunities in AI and IT that competitors miss.

THE WHAT (Product Definition)

Translating vision into executable requirements and feature prioritization.

THE HOW (Build & Delivery)

Building the solution hands-on, and the teams and practices to sustain it.

THE WHEN (Adoption & Scale)

Getting it into daily use, measured against outcomes, then scaling what works.

Proof

Things that exist, not things that were recommended.

7 weeks

PaxRent went from nothing to production with a paying customer collecting rent. Designed, architected and built by one person.

50 states

Double-entry trust accounting and 50-state compliance, running in daily commercial use. Regulated environments are the normal case here, not the exception.

25 years

Leading product through two acquisitions and platforms for Apple, Red Bull, Disney, BBC and ESPN, long before any of this was called AI strategy.

A property platform that gets better every time the models do

PaxRent

In production since March 2026.

The Challenge

Property managers running on four disconnected tools, with no system of record and no way to benefit from advances in AI.

The Strategic Solution

Designed and built an AI-native platform solo: trust accounting, leasing, maintenance, payments and reporting under one system, with approval-gated agents handling triage, applicant review and owner communications. Architected as a compounding loop where usage data and feedback surface the system's own improvement opportunities, reinforced by periodic full code audits and each new model generation.

The Outcome

Production in 7 Weeks. Better Every Month Since.

In continuous commercial operation: double-entry trust accounting, 50-state compliance and agentic workflows in daily use. Four tools replaced at two-thirds lower cost.
